A great read! We had fun reading this while also studying the works of Beatrix Potter. The Who/What Was books are GREAT reading for any age. Nice for beginning independent readers to fill their curiosity - it seems there is a book on nearly anyone or anything of note. Also great for out loud reading to younger kids or a group (mine are 4, 6, 7). We read them during lunchtime (1-2 chapters) and can easily finish a book each week. For homeschoolers, they're a great and entertaining way to get in history. Lots of side-notes in each book on a variety of topics. You could truly do weekly unit studies just using these with a little planning.

Great biography series that all kids will enjoy. My students (4th grade) can't seem to put them down. I've had them in my room for the last few years and they just eat them up. The content is easy to understand and it provides great information on each person/topic along with a timeline in the back. Great for parents and teachers alike.

This excellent biography for young people was very interesting to me as a parent and grandparent. All my children and grandchildren are fans of the Peter Rabbit series of books by Beatrix Potter, so I was glad to learn more about her life.

Love the series. We have purchased many and donated to out small library after we've read them. This one caught us off guard. The illustration is a little .... ummm ... Mom, he's flipping the bird.... By golly he is, isn't he?

My kids love this book series. They're fun and educational.

Great story, love this series!! What a neat woman! After reading this, I bought her whole collection of stories!

My grandchildren and I have loved every one of the books in this series. I will be buying more in the future.

Kids love this series.
