I purchased this pair of books back in October & just completed my second test for the CCNA Collaboration. These books are a "guide" that in no way will help you gain the "cert." They're an overall view of the material with some quality information that is in no way reflective of the material on the exams. If you want to earn the CCNA Collaboration, you will NOT come close by knowing these books word by word, cover to cover. Fortunately I had lots of hands-on experience. These end of chapter quizzes are good for knowledge, but not relevant to the exams.Both Cisco & the authors are being disingenuous by implying, in any way, that this is in an "official" way to earn the cert. These books are merely one of many sources you need to gain the cert. I'm going to fall short of calling these books a waste, but do NOT let these be your main source of information if you expect to pass. From someone w/ a decade of experience, I found that the exams are overly specific & these books are overly general.Buy them, but know what you're getting first. The fact that these have a Cisco label calling them the "Official Cert Guide Library" is a farce. These books should, at best, be considered supplemental sources of information. I can't express how disappointed I was in the quality of the material in comparison to the exams. I failed my first exam relying solely on the book & my experience. I did NOT make that mistake again, nor should you.

I ordered this book in hopes that it would prepare me for the CICD. I have to say my expectations were obviously to high because I read the entire book, reviewed everything it said too, passed all the questions in the book and dvd. I felt prepared walking into my test this morning. Big fail! Hardly anything covered in the book is on the actual exam. I'm simply giving two stars instead of one because if you're looking to have some no experience person set up CME for you then this is a great walk through book. If you're looking to pass a test by using the information in this book, save your money.

I am pretty disappointed in this study guide. I have studied the book, used the practice tests and have a decent amount of real world experience with Cisco Collaboration products and have been a network engineer for 18 years. I was VERY surprised at the amount of information that was on the test that was not even close to covered in the study guide. Needless to say, I did not pass the test and feel that this study, while I guess better than nothing, is not worth the $68 I paid for it.

The book is good for establishing base knowledge of Cisco's collaboration architecture. However, it is missing A LOT of information that is included on the test. Keep that in mind before you go and take the test. Especially the Video exam.

I'm currently half way through the first book and have decided to stop. I have noticed a few missing figures and incorrect descriptions of figures in the book. A specific example is on page 302, where the description of figure 11-8 does not accurately describe the figure. This is not the first or only example, and I'm sure it won't be the last. A better job of editing would have gone a long way.

So far so good, basic explanation of the topics of the exam. Hands-on labs is what really prepares you for the test.

This is not very well written and is not a comprehensive study guide. This is more of a list of suggested reading materials and an advertisement for expensive Cisco courses.

Good book, good priceUpdate: Failed the test twice, read this book front to back 3 times. Not a Cert Guide, more like a Cert suggestion list.Can't replace on-the-job knowledge with book knowledge, you'll get your butt kicked by the 210-060 test.
